Made with a lot of effort, and it's free 💛

It took me a lot of time and hard work to build this, and I'm giving it to you for free. I'm a student with very little free time, and my YouTube channel is something I do for fun, my little hobby. If this tool helped you, please subscribe to my channel. It costs you nothing, but it means a huge amount to me. Thank you so much! 🙏

Detailed help (tap a topic)

🧰 Before you start: get your files ready

This tool uses files saved on your own phone. Photos, videos, music and voice recordings must already be on your phone before you can add them.

  • Photos and videos: in your Gallery (Android) or Photos app (iPhone).
  • Music and voice recordings: saved as a file in your Files app.
  • Not sure it is saved? Open your Files app and look in Downloads.

Tip: gather everything first, then start building. It takes about 10 minutes.

📷 Adding photos

Tap Tap to add photos. Your phone opens its picker. You can select many photos at once.

Android

Choose from Gallery, Photos or Recent. Tap each photo to select it, then tap Done or Add.

iPhone

Your Photos library opens. Tap each photo you want, then tap Add.

Use up to 20 photos. Around 10 to 12 keeps the file light. Each photo can have a short caption.

🎵 Adding background music

Music must be an audio file (like mp3 or m4a) saved on your phone. Then tap Choose file under Background music and pick it.

Android
  • Tap Choose file under Background music.
  • Choose Browse (or Files) if it asks.
  • Open Audio, Downloads or the Music folder, then tap your song.
iPhone
  • Tap Choose file under Background music, then choose Choose File or Browse.
  • Go to On My iPhone or iCloud Drive, open the folder (often Downloads), then tap the song.

iPhone note: songs inside Apple Music or Spotify are protected and cannot be picked. You need a separate audio file saved in the Files app. To save one: open the audio file in WhatsApp or Mail, tap Share, then Save to Files.

Where to get a song file: use music you own or made, or free royalty-free music from sites like Pixabay Music or YouTube Audio Library. Keep it short (1 to 3 minutes) so the page stays light.

The music starts playing when the person taps to open the surprise.

🎙️ Adding a voice note

Record your message first, save it, then pick the file. Use your phone's recorder, not a WhatsApp voice note (WhatsApp voice notes do not play on every phone).

Android

Open the Recorder or Voice Recorder app, record, and save. Then in the tool tap Choose file under Voice note and pick it from Audio or the Recordings folder.

iPhone

Open Voice Memos, record, then tap the recording, then ···, then Save to Files. In the tool tap Choose file under Voice note and pick it from Files.

Keep it under 1 to 2 minutes.

🎬 Adding a video message

Tap Choose file under Video message and pick a video from your Gallery (Android) or Photos (iPhone).

Phone videos can be very big. Keep it short, around 15 to 30 seconds, or the page becomes too heavy to send. Check Estimated file size near the bottom.

⏳ Countdown, themes and password
  • Countdown: type a label (for example "My birthday") and pick the date.
  • Theme / animation / font: tap an option and the colours change. Preview shows the result.
  • Password lock: tick the box and set a short code like 1512. Tell the person the code separately.
💾 Download: where does the file go?

Tap Generate & download the surprise page. The file name looks like name-surprise.html.

Android

Open the Files app, then Downloads. You will see your file there. Chrome also shows a "Downloaded" message at the bottom, tap Open to check it.

iPhone

Open the Files app, then Downloads (on Safari downloads go there). You can also tap the download arrow in Safari's address bar.

📤 Sending it to the person
WhatsApp on Android

Open the chat, tap the paperclip 📎, choose Document, then Browse other docs and pick your file from Downloads. Tap send.

WhatsApp on iPhone

Open the chat, tap +, choose Document, then pick your file from Files. Tap send.

Always send it as a Document, never as a photo or video. You can also send it by email, or upload it to Google Drive and share the link (the person then downloads the file from Drive and opens it).

👀 How the person opens it
Android

Tap the file in WhatsApp, tap Open with and choose Chrome. If it asks to download first, allow it.

iPhone

Tap the file and save it to Files, then open it with Safari or Chrome (tap Share, then choose the browser). If the page looks plain and nothing animates, it opened in a simple preview. Try another browser, or use a computer.

Tip: ask them to open it in a quiet moment, with sound on if you added music or a voice note.

🛠️ Something went wrong?
  • Music or voice will not choose: make sure it is an audio file in Files, not a song inside Apple Music or Spotify.
  • Download did not start: do not use the in-app browser inside Facebook or Instagram. Open the link in Chrome or Safari.
  • File is too big to send: use fewer photos, a shorter video, and a shorter song.
  • I lost my work: text auto-saves in the same browser. For photos, video and voice use Export full backup before you leave.
  • It shows a lock: you may be on an old copy. Open the newest link and refresh.

Good to know

📷 Keep photos reasonable in size (around 10 to 12 works well). Check Estimated file size at the bottom before sending.

💾 Your text auto-saves in this browser. To keep photos, video and voice too, use Export full backup.

🔒 The password lock is a simple gate, great for a surprise but not for anything private.

📱 If the file won't open for them, ask them to open it with Chrome. Links opened inside Facebook or Instagram can block downloads.

🎁 Tried this before and your old code didn't work? You don't need a code any more. Just start creating.

Who's it for?

Cover screen

Message

The first section is always included. Add more sections (e.g. "How we met", "Today", "The future") — each gets its own reveal, swipeable in the finished page.

Photo memories

Photos are embedded directly in the file — keep them reasonably sized so the page opens fast.

📷 Tap to add photos

Video message

A short mp4/webm that plays inline alongside the text message.

Voice note

A short audio message, shown as a play button.

Countdown

Counts down to a date — good for "days until we meet" or an anniversary.

Background music

Adds a play-on-open song. Large files make the page slower to send.

Background animation

Theme

Password lock

Simple local passcode gate, not real encryption — anyone using browser dev tools could bypass it. Fine for a fun surprise, not for anything sensitive.

Branding

QR code for printing

If you've hosted the finished page somewhere with a link, paste it here for a printable card.

Note: to keep this tool fully offline with no external libraries, this doesn't render a scannable QR image directly — it gives you the link ready to paste into any free QR generator (e.g. your phone's QR app) when you print the card. Full offline QR rendering is a fast follow-up once that's worth adding.

Draft & file size

Your text fields auto-save to this browser as you type, so you can leave and come back. Want to move your work to another device, or keep a real backup (including photos/video/voice)? Export it below.

Estimated file size: 0 KB

The download is a single .html file. Send it over WhatsApp, email, or Google Drive — it opens in any browser, even offline.
